McDonald Properties, LLC was founded in 1991
by Curtis McDonald, Principal and President

McDonald Properties has undertaken a multitude of successful land development, residential, and commercial projects in Colorado, Iowa, and now Missouri. Projects began ranging from land acquisition, securing approvals and special funding instruments, and development and sales of land, single family homes, condominiums, and manufactured home parks.

In 1996, McDonald Properties began focusing on retail and commercial development. CenterState Crossing, a 248-acre retail development in Columbia, Missouri, opened Bass Pro Shops as its major anchor on March 31, 2005, after years of working the entitlement issues and the construction of a new highway interchange. Soon to open will be Furniture Row, Hilton Garden Inn, Lonestar Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesdays, and 50,000 feet of specialty shops. In addition, a 350,000 foot Lifestyle Value Center will begin construction in 2006.

McDonald Properties has also purchased 100 acres for a similar retail project in Rapid City, South Dakota, strategically located at the same I-90 interchange of Rushmore Mall, the only regional mall within 350 miles.

McDonald has a number of additional properties under contract and is pursuing numerous retail and land development projects throughout the mid section of the country.
