A U.S. Senate subcommittee yesterday approved a transportation package that included $10 million for Columbia's main crossroads, the Interstate 70-Highway 63 interchange.
U.S. Sen. Kit Bond, R-MO, announced the proposed appropriation yesterday, the largest on a list of Missouri transportation projects totaling $50.1 million.
Bond a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, requested the money, which was approved yesterday by the committee's Transportation Subcommittee.
